| |
| Q. | Is there an expiration on Continuing Education credits? |
| A. | The expiration on CE credit is based upon each individual program. CE credit is good for 4 years following course completion. Continuing Education must be completed in the four years immediately prior to renewal. If you are renewing your license on-time, then the CE credit must have been completed during the term of the license. However if you renew your license on a late basis, the CE credit must have been completed within the 4 years immediately preceding the submittal of your late renewal application.
Real estate licenses are issued for a period of 4 years. DRE allows a person to take a 2 year late renewal and pay a late fee if all renewal conditions are met. If the time period extends beyond the two year period, then all license rights expire. Also, a person is not permitted to do any real estate related work that requires a license after the initial expiration. Please visit the DRE website for further clarification: http://www.dre.ca.gov |

| |
| Q. | What if I have a Conditional License? Can Agent JumpStart™ help lift the Condition? |
| A. | No, to remove the "condition" from an 18 month conditional license you must submit proof of completion of 2 college level courses or an equivalent course of study to DRE; one of which must be Real Estate Practice if your license was issued on or after July 1, 2003. Do not confuse College Credit and Continuing Education Credit; they are not the same. The CE credits that you receive from Agent JumpStart™ will not satisfy the requirement to lift the 18 month condition on your license. |
