What information is generated when you visit eDesignations.com? 

Depending how you use our web site, certain types of personal and non-personal information may be generated and collected. For example, you may give us your name or email address when you complete a registration screen, respond to a questionnaire or submit an e-mail to us. We also collect personal information offline via fax, phone and mail which is the way we register students for our classes. Unless we receive your approval to do otherwise, any personal information provided to us will only be used by us to fulfill the stated objective for which the information was requested or collected. Example, if information, that you are providing is to change your email address, we will update the information and not provide it to others. 

For QuickStart™ registrations, we collect full contact information as well as credit card information and DRE license #. We use this information so we may process class registration payments. We also collect information on the comments page of our site, http://www.edesignations.com/comments.asp. We collect "Subject" of the comment, the comment itself and the name, email, phone and fax numbers. We collect the contact information, so we may respond to submitted comments.

Other types of information that may be generated and collected when you use our web site is information that we consider non-personal in nature. For example, we may collect the name of the domain from which you access the Internet (for example, aol.com, if you are connecting from an America Online account); the date and time you access our site or and the Internet address of the web site from which you linked directly to our site. We use this information solely to measure the number of visitors to the different sections of our Web site and to help us make our Web site more useful to visitors.

The body of the e-PRO registration page (http://www.edesignations.com/ePRO/Register/signup.htm), although has the look and feel of the eDesignations Web site, is operated by Internet Crusade. Professional Realty Institute does not collect any information. All information including credit card capturing is done by Internet Crusade on their website. Please refer to Internet Crusades privacy policy if you have questions about how your information is being used.

Please be aware that for a seamless experience the url may still indicate you are on www.edesignations.com when entering your information for e-PRO; however, you are actually submitting your information directly to www.epronar.com as indicated above.


Comments Feature

Like most sites on the Internet, our web site contains a feature that allows you to contact us with your comments or questions. Not surprisingly, we call this feature Comments. To use this feature, there is a link at the bottom of each page on our Web site which you can click onto. When you do click this link, a screen will prompt you to provide us with certain information, such as your first and last name, email address, phone and fax number and your address, including your city and state.

The information collected through the "Comments" feature is used solely to investigate and respond to your inquiries. We may also use the information you provide to update our records.


Information Sharing and Disclosure

The Professional Realty Institute, Inc. will not give, sell, trade or rent your personally identifiable information to anyone other than course information to the California Association of REALTORS(R) who maintain their members' educational history and to the California Department of Real Estate who may request verification of student attendance at one of our courses. Also, to service providers working on our behalf and any legal process as defined below.

Service Providers

We use an outside credit card processing company to bill you for goods and services. These companies do not retain, share, store or use personally identifiable information for any other purposes.

We use a third party: AuthorizeNet to provide credit card processing on our site. When you register for the QuickStart™ program, we will share your credit card information as well as billing address as necessary for the third party to provide that service. These third parties are prohibited from using your personally identifiable information for any other purpose.


Personal Information Disposal

The Professional Realty Institute, Inc. handles customer personal information in accordance with the State of California assembly bill 2246, which requires all businesses to take all reasonable steps to destroy customer or client records containing personal information that we no longer need.

Professional Realty Institute, Inc. principally ensures the privacy of a customer's personal information contained in records by arranging for the destruction of the records by shredding.

Our objective is to comply with the State of California assembly bill 2246 and to protect clients' privacy and prevent identity theft.


Contests

We may from time to time run contests on our web site. If our contests require you to provide personal or demographic information, we will not use this information for any purpose other than to complete the contest and update our records. All contests are run internally.


Surveys

We may from time to time create and use surveys on our web site. Most surveys are simple "click box" surveys where you click a box on the screen to indicate your response. However, we may from time to time ask you for your name, email address or demographic information. If a survey does ask you this information, we will not use it for any purpose other than to complete the survey, compile statistics and update our records. All surveys are run internally.

Types of emails sent from eDesignations.com

TeDesignations.com sends out three types of emails. We send out promotional emails promoting the various educational courses that we offer. We also send out newsletters to current students, faculty and state associations. You can opt out of these emails. Please see the Choice/Opt-Out section. We also send out emails providing receipts as well as reminders of registered courses. These emails you are not able to opt out of since they are necessary for us to effectively provide our educational services.

Security

The security of your personal information is important to us. When you enter sensitive information (such as credit card number and/or social security number) on our registration or order forms, we encrypt that information using secure socket layer technology (SSL). Security is discussed at our regularly held staff meetings. Access to data is limited. All workstations have password protected logins. Web security is reviewed on a semiannual basis.
