Course Description
This 8-hour course fulfills the Department of Real Estate mandated 3-hour Risk Management requirement for first time license renewals, plus an additional 5-hours of consumer protection credits. The course will be taught by an attorney who thoroughly covers topics to minimize your chance of having a claim or lawsuit filed against you!
Learning Objectives
Upon completion of this course, the student will be able to explain how risk management can be applied to a wide range of functions and activities including:- Negligence
- Negligent misrepresentation
- Intentional misrepresentation
- Fraud
- Constructive fraud
- Breach offiduciary duty
- Breach of contract
- Violation of the Business & Professions Code 17200 et seq.
- Students will learn that increased training in the area of risk management is a necessary function for improving the business practices of real estate licensees and consumer awareness.
