Are there any prerequisites for any of the GRI courses |
| A. | Each GRI
course is a standalone course that provides a wide array of information
for REALTORS®. Therefore, students may elect to start the series with any
of the courses. |

Who can take the GRI series of courses? |
| A. | GRI is designed for members only of the CALIFORNIA ASSOCIATION of REALTORS®. And, because this is a National Association of REALTORS® educational designation, only REALTORS® and REALTOR® ASSOCIATES® in good standing with their local Association (or C.A.R. if re-locating) may use the GRI designation. Non C.A.R./NAR members may not take these courses until they join the local, state, and national Associations. |

Do you have to be licensed to take a GRI course? |
| A. | No, you have to be a member in good standing of C.A.R./NAR. There is an affiliate status for non-licensed real estate related professionals; check with the local Association for member status and obtain a letter from the Association confirming your affiliate status. |

When can I sign up? |
| A. | It is
advisable to sign up early. Courses do fill up. Each course
has a class limit size of 40 students. If the course is full you may
have to take it at a different location, or wait until the following year
when it is offered at your location again. |

How long do I have to complete the program? |
| A. | The GRI
program must be completed within 5 years from the first course date. |

What is the cost of GRI? |
| A. | The pre-paid cost for the entire GRI series is $1625.00 which is a SAVINGS of $252.00. Individual GRI course costs are as follows: Courses #100/101, 102/104 and 105 through 114 are $149 each and course #115 is $89. |

What is the class size for the GRI courses? |
| A. | To ensure
the ability to provide a quality learning environment, class size is limited
to 40 students per class. |

What is the cancellation policy for the GRI courses? |
| A. | Cancellation
of course must occur a minimum of 48 hours prior to the start of class
to receive a refund or transfer of payment. A "no-show, no-call" will
result in loss of payment for the course. |

When will I receive my GRI certificate and lapel pin? |
| A. | REALTORS®
and REALTOR ASSOCIATES® who complete all 14 courses and successfully pass
the appropriate exams will receive a GRI Certificate and lapel pin within
60 days from the completion of the last exam. Professional Realty Institute
will try to best determine when a student has successfully completed the
GRI series. Once determined, the student will receive both a GRI certificate
as well as GRI lapel pin. The student is encouraged to contact Professional
Realty Institute at 888.785.4800 or 626.229.9900, if the certificate and
pin are not received within 60 days of successfully completing the program. |

If a person lives in a remote area that has no local AOR, do they have to find an AOR to belong to before they can use the GRI designation? |
| A. | Yes. All GRI's must be current
in their dues and belong to a local Association. |

May I get continuing education credit for GRI? |
| A. | 64 hours
of Consumer Protection Credit, 16 hours of Consumer Service credit, 3 hours
of DRE mandated "Agency" credit, 3 hours of DRE mandated "Ethics"
credit, 3 hours of DRE mandated "Trust Fund" credit, 3 hours
of DRE mandated "Fair Housing" credit, 3 hours

May I get any other type of credit? |
| A. | You may
need to fulfill the DRE requirement to obtain two college courses within
your first 18 months or you may need to accumulate the eight DRE required
courses to qualify for the brokers exam. In addition, CAR/NAR members
can earn six units
of college equivalent credit; three units for "Legal Aspects of Real
Estate" and three units for "Real Estate Practice." (See

May I challenge any of the GRI courses? |
| A. | Challenge
examinations will not be offered. In order to maintain the quality of the
GRI designation and to insure that a student accumulates a certain body
of knowledge, the designee must take all of the GRI courses offered by PRI
and taught by a member of our State Faculty. |
Q. |
How can the GRI series be used to lift the 18-month condition placed on the salesperson license? |
| A. | Upon completion of the GRI series, GRI graduates are eligible to take an additional 200 question examination which can provide students with six units of college credit equivalency credit (3 units of Legal Aspects of Real Estate and 3 units of Real Estate Practice). This college credit may be used to lift the 18-month condition. |

How long do I have to complete the 2 exams to receive college equivalency credit? |
| A. | In order to receive college equivalency
credit, the Real Estate Practice and Legal Aspects 200-question final exam
must be completed within 1 year from the completion of the GRI program. |

Is there an expiration on Continuing Education credits? |
| A. | The expiration on CE credit is
based upon each individual course. There is no expiration on the college
courses. License renewal credit, the CE, is valid for the period of license
renewal. If a license is issued for 4 years, say from August 20, 2000, and
expires on August 19, 2004, and a person takes CE credit during that time,
the CE is applicable during the life of the license for renewal. All real
estate licenses are issued for a period of 4 years. A license is renewable
upon a person submitting a) the appropriate fee and b), evidence of continuing
education. DRE allows a person to take a 2 year late renewal and pay a late
fee if the other conditions a & b, are met. The person takes a year
leave, and wants now to renew on or before August 19, 2006, coursework taken
during the period of August 20, 2000, through August 19, 2006, is applicable
toward renewal. If the time period extends beyond the two year period, then
all license rights expire. Also, a person is not permitted to do any real
estate related work that requires a license after the initial expiration,
in this case, after August 19, 2004. |

If a student uses the college equivalency credits for 18 month license renewal can they use the same college equivalency towards their brokers license at a later time? |
| A. | Yes. Coursework used toward a
sales license can be later used toward a broker license. |

What if I am a broker and do not need continuing education credit, may I still take the course and receive the designation? |
| A. | Yes, if
you have obtained your continuing education requirements toward your next
license renewal and have no need for college equivalency credit, you may
take the program for the GRI designation alone. However, you must successfully
complete all the exams after each of the courses you have completed to receive
the designation. |

Are there exams for GRI credit? |
| A. |
1. Continuing Education Credit - You must take an exam at the end of each course that is DRE approved for CE. 2. GRI Credit - You must take an
exam at the end of each course. 3. College Equivalence Credit - There is no re-exam for college equivalency credit. |

How long is the final exam for GRI and college equivalency credit? |
| A. | The exam
is 200 multiple choice questions. The first 100 questions cover "Real
Estate Practice," the second 100 questions cover "Legal Aspects
of Real Estate." |

What is a passing grade for the GRI exam? |
| A. | In order
for students to receive credit for the GRI designation, it is necessary
for a student to correctly answer 70% of questions. In order for a student
to obtain DRE credit, the student must take and pass 70% of questions. |

What if l do not pass one or more of the exams? |

A. |
1. Continuing Education Credit - You may take one re-exam for each course. You have one year from the course date to achieve a passing grade. If you do not pass the second exam, you may elect to take the course again. You must contact Professional Realty Institute to set up a time and date for the re-exam. 2. GRI Credit - If you do not pass any of the GRI exams, one re-exam will be made available for you. However, the second exam must be taken within 3 months from the date of the notice of failure. 3. College Equivalence Credit - There is no re-exam for college equivalency credit. |

| A. | C.A.R.
announced their interest in outsourcing the GRI program and accepted proposals
from many candidates. The proposals were reviewed and the respondents
were interviewed several times. The respondents were brought in front
of the C.A.R. Educational Advisory Board to present their business plan
and answer questions. The decision for PRI to be awarded the partnership
was awarded based upon their ability to carry out the administrative requirements,

taken. PRI will issue the GRI Certificate and pin to graduates upon

How were the GRI locations chosen? |
| A. | Locations
were chosen based upon demographic studies of the density of REALTORS® throughout
the state of California. Twenty-four Associations of REALTORS® locations
were targeted based upon the results of the studies and were offered the
opportunity to co-sponsor GRI. |

Can an Association offer GRI courses even if they are not one of the locations? |
| A. | In addition
to the twenty-four permanent locations there will be a twenty-fifth roving
GRI course series held at a different, more remote Association of REALTORS®
location each year. Therefore, it is possible for any Association
who has the interest of co-sponsoring GRI to have an opportunity to hold
the courses. |

Can a Real Estate Company put on a GRI course series? |
| A. | It was
agreed between C.A.R. and PRI that all GRI courses will be offered on the
neutral territory of a co-sponsoring Association of REALTORS® rather than
private companies, thus eliminating the potential for any unfair advantage
that may arise from private company sponsorship. |
