Course Goals
This course is designed to familiarize the students with: - Ways of taking Title and Life estates
- Types of Deeds that transfer title
- An overview of Tenant/Landlord Law
- Rights that can be acquired by operation of Law
- Recent Legal Issues and Updates
Course Instructional Objectives - Upon completing this course, the student will be able to:
- Understand when a valid contract exists
- Understand the duties of the agent to the Principal
- Know the differences between Fee Simple, Life Estate and Leasehold Estate.
- Understand the duties of a Trustee in a Trust
- List the forms of Concurrent Real Property Ownership
- Differentiate between Landlord and Tenants duties
- Understand how Easements are created
- Know when discrimination has occurred
- Recognize violations of the Anti-Trust Statues
- Put a plan together for Risk Management
